I spent some time yesterday and today creating some earrings that are again inspired by all of the miracles in the sky.  I love the spiral energy of the shape of a galaxy.  Everything spins out from the middle in such a powerful way.  That is the way I have been feeling lately with all of the creating that has been going on in my life.  I just have to be careful not to get too wound up and just let it flow.

The other thing that was really influential was a two page photo layout in Jewelry Artist magazine of some beautiful works of silver by Hilary Hachey and Rina Young.

I took the time to document the steps in the creation process below.  I think the spiral energy earrings turned out pretty cool!

After the spiral was formed, I formed the ear wire portion then hammered both the ear hoop and spiral.

I applied Liver of Sulfur patina, let dry, then sanded.

I pulled the spirals out after the patina was sanded then polished and….the spiral energy earrings are born!
